Website Redesign Project
The website redesign project for the Society of Black Archaeologists features a refreshed website and design. Featured sliders were built to highlight the client's media presence, including but not limited to interviews, member accomplishments, and stories from prominent archaeologists. In addition, a private member directory was imported and formatted into a simple-to-maintain table for future reference of forthcoming members.
For Search Engine Optimization, keyword-rich SEO titles and descriptions were added to all of their pages and posts. An SSL certificate was added to allow the website to add security via an HTTPS, which is a ranking signal for Google. In addition, the website's sitemaps were submitted to the Google Search Console and Bing Webmaster Tools for page indexing, search statistics, and for logging off any reported errors and issues. 301 redirects were also added for any pages that were not kept or were removed from transferring to this new site.
Austin Web & Design also added the website's sitemaps to Google Search Console for page indexing, search statistics, and for any reported errors.
As with ALL Austin Web & Design websites, this website includes premium plugins for a society event calendar, form creation, website security, speed and caching, and for creating website backups that are scheduled to run on a daily, weekly, and on a monthly basis. A custom 404 page was also included to reflect the Society's overall design, and redirect into the website proper. Uptime monitoring is included on every website we build.
